A note from Stuart Zadel

Hi again,

I trust you’re having a great week and loving the start of your year. If your response to my question in last week’s newsletter is any indication, then you’re definitely having an awesome 2008 already!

Thank you so much to everyone that took action and responded to my question “Where Do I Live Now?” – my team has already given out a total of 36 FREE tickets this week to our upcoming Think and Grow Rich events. That means if you guessed “Bathurst” then I get to see you at an event really soon. And if you didn’t guess correctly, that’s okay... there’ll be another opportunity sooner than you can imagine!

Today I’d love to talk about my recent experiences buying a car. As I’ve just moved to Bathurst I need a vehicle that’s suitable for travelling the long distances to Sydney through the mountains and often late at night.

I started looking for a car last week and visited a total of 5 dealerships. I was amazed that out of 5 car dealers, only one asked for my name and phone number. And that was after spending a minimum of 20 minutes with each of them.

In one of the dealerships I visited in Parramatta, Sydney, 4 staff members moved a car in the showroom while I literally stood for 5 minutes with my business partner without receiving a hint of anything called ‘service’.

Both of these instances left me wondering how many people walk into a car dealership primed to buy a car and walk out without even trading contact details?

So the point is, these companies spend bucketloads of money promoting their business and incur massive overheads such as rent, wages etc.. and then when a new customer invests their time to visit the business they are blatantly ignored.

In this ecomony, everyone must sell at some level. From the Receptionist to the Sales Manager to the General Manager, everyone must sell. If you’re not actually selling the product yourself, you are selling the business or company that the prospective client will be having a relationship with.

The great news is that sales & marketing opportunities are all around you every day. Personal relationships, businesses next door, previous customers, non-competing companies that have similar customers to you, and don’t forget... the people that walk in off the street!

In fact, today I’d love to offer you a unique and time sensitive opportunity. I’d love to invite you to include a bonus in all of our showbags for The Ultimate Think and Grow Rich Marketing and Wealth Creation Training Conferences this year!

We expect approximately 5,000 people at our events during 2008 with the first event being held in Melbourne on 16th & 17th February. We’d love to give you this opportunity of reaching 5,000 new customers by including an information-based gift, such as a book, CD, DVD or product related to your business.
