I just wanted to share with you an unusual story of an incident that occurred last week...
It has some important lessons for us all, but firstly let me ask you this. Would you learn 13 words, in order, for $500 bucks cash - instantly?
You would? Great! Well, I would too.
Now, this is not a trick question. Anyone who has been to an Ultimate Think and Grow Rich Marketing and Wealth Creation Training Conference knows that I give away $1,000 cash in the first 15 minutes to the first person that can recite the 13 principles of Think and Grow Rich in order.
Well, last week I was in Perth doing a book signing at Dymocks Book Store to promote our next event on 12th - 13th April in Perth.
At a book signing I am often stuck out the front of the store with a table, a sign and some books... and people are magically meant to rush up to you and buy books!
Now that might work for someone famous like Terri Irwin or Ricky Ponting, but it doesn’t always happen that way for me, so sometimes I have to use a little persuasion.
Anyway, this young guy named Patrick seemed interested as I asked him, ‘Would you like to make more money?’ He said, ‘Oh...yeah’ and seemed kind of suspicious of me as we started discussing the book Think and Grow Rich.
He had a friend with him, who showed even less interest and walked off.
I informed him that this book contained 13 proven steps to riches that if applied, would bring him better financial results and open up a whole new world of
power.
I also told him that if he purchased it today for just $25 he would also
receive 3 free tickets to our next event plus $3,500 worth of bonuses.
He said he only had $10 to his name.
Fancy
that. Here I am thinking, ‘How could that be? Here’s someone living in the
richest state, in one of the World’s richest countries and he doesn’t have any
money’.
I then asked him if he’d like to be a millionaire. His answer was luke-warm at best, indifferent to say the least. But almost reluctantly he said ‘maybe’!?
Well my question to Patrick, was simply this. ‘If you can’t get $25 how on earth do you plan to get a million?’
I then asked him if he'd like to earn $500 in a minute? He said ‘yes’ this time.
Now keep in mind that whilst this was going on, Patrick was trying not to laugh as his friend had returned and was making fun of me behind my back so Patrick could see.
You see, sometimes those closest to you may be your biggest problem, but I’ll cover more of that in next week’s Success Tip.
So I gave Patrick a challenge. I said, "I’ll tell you what I’ll do. If you buy this book before next week, produce the receipt for me and show up at the live Event in Perth on 12th - 13th April... and you can tell me the 13 principles in order, no mistakes, in front of 300+ people I will give you $500 cash.”
And then I wrote our agreement out and signed it. He said he could do it. Well in just over a week we’ll find out.So what do you make of all this? Will Patrick make $500 in one minute or will you? See, if Patrick doesn’t show up I’ll be giving someone else a chance, not at $500 but at $1,000 for the same assignment.
I’m curious to know if Patrick has what it
takes to defy his mates, invest in himself, practice, show up, handle pressure
and perform?
You see, I know that if he does, his life will never be the same again.

I recommend you take a piece of paper and a pen and write down at least 7 ways you can earn $500 in one minute.
Pick the one which seems the most doable to you and give it a go!
